terra© monitors the Saale-Elster Viaduct – the Longest Railway Bridge in Germany
With a length of 5.34 miles (8.6 km) the Saale-Elster viaduct on the new Leipzig-Erfurt rail link will be the longest railway bridge in Germany. The construction is currently being tested and will be put into service by mid/end 2016.
terra® is monitoring the viaduct's behaviour over a period of 2.5 years using an automated bridge monitoring system.
The measurements will provide construction engineers with valuable data on the interaction between the viaduct structure and the slab track superstructure for this particular project and future projects.

Zurich's Hard bridge is monitored periodically using mobile mapping to detect potential deformations at an early stage. The measurements were commissioned by the Civil Engineering Department of the City of Zurich.
