terra© monitors the Saale-Elster Viaduct – the Longest Railway Bridge in Germany

With a length of 5.34 miles (8.6 km) the Saale-Elster viaduct on the new Leipzig-Erfurt rail link will be the longest railway bridge in Germany. The construction is currently being tested and will be put into service by mid/end 2016.

terra® is monitoring the viaduct's behaviour over a period of 2.5 years using an automated bridge monitoring system.

The measurements will provide construction engineers with valuable data on the interaction between the viaduct structure and the slab track superstructure for this particular project and future projects.

Architectural Survey: Kettenbrücke Aarau, Switzerland

All of our clients agree: "Precise and comprehensive building surveys based on 3D-Laser Scanning are a key foundation for construction and modernisation projects". We survey residential buildings, public, buildings, office buildings, production facilities, as well as historic buildings, such as Kettenbrücke, Aarau in Switzerland.

Geomonitoring: Automatic Deformation Monitoring using swissMon – Geohazards, Infrastructure and Construction Works

Our manufacturer-independent and scalable geomonitoring system swissMon successfully monitors the Zurich cross-city rail link – the largest urban construction site in Switzerland – 24/7.

According to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), swissMon is an economic geomonitoring solution that delivers real-time data to builders and construction engineers throughout extended phases of construction. Our customers particularly appreciate swissMon's configurability. For the Swiss Federal Railways, swissMon provided a new and unique dimension of geodetic monitoring.

Geomonitoring Part 1: Advantages & Application

This introductions shows the advantages of geomonitoring solutions. You learn that 4D-monitoring is a suitable solution for many different applications.  Compared to conventional methods, our geomonitoring solution swissMon is a good alternative for small and large monitoring tasks.

Geomonitoring Part 2: swissMon Structure

The open, independant structure of our geomonitoring solution swissMon gives you the free to adapt the geomonitoring system at any time to your needs. You determien which and how many sensores you use. In addition, you select the duration of your monitoring project. Your data will be stored centrally and are accessible via webinterface.

Geomonitoring Part 3: swissMon Data Input

Our geomonitoring system swissMon integrates all types of sensors. It is suitable for small monitoring projects as well as for large, sophisticated, long-term monitoring projects. SwissMon geomonitoring is not dependent on specific manufacturers. You can choose any type and quantity of sensors for your project.

4D-Monitoring Part 4: Sensors

This video shows sensors as tacheometers, hydrostatic levelling systems and tShape inclination sensors and their functions within a geomonitoring project. Additional sensors can be integrated at any given time.

Geomonitoring Part 5: Alarming

Based on trigger levels our geomonitoring system Swissmon releases automatic an on-site alarm and prompts alarm messages via SMS or email. Credibility checks of sensor triggers reduce the false alarm rate considerably.

Geomonitoring Part 6: Data Output & Access

Your geomonitoring data are accessible via a secure web interface. Our SwissMon plattform provides your data as time series, profiles or integrated in Google maps. You can also view the detailed mesaurements of each single sensor.

Geomonitoring Part 7: Projects & Application

Geomonitoring can be used for the folllowing applications: monitoring for railway, tunnel and road construction, groundwater monitoring, stability analysis of retaining walls and pile foundations, settlement analysis, geological monitoring, vibration and deformation measurements, structural health monitoring.

Hydrographic Surveys

As the leading service supplier for hydrographic surveys, we conducts fast and precisely surveys on rivers, lakes, dam projects and on bodies of water that are not easily accessible. For your project we deliver results as isobath charts, longitudinal sections and cross-sections, georeferenced three-dimensional terrain models, modelling of cut and fill quantities, volume calculations, current diagrams as well as lake and river bed topography.

Mobile Mapping of contact lines in Geneva

Based on our mobile mapping solution we have scaned the network of contact line for the local transporation company in Geneva.  The data acquisition has been performed within a few hours. Following our customers request we have transferred the positioning data of the contact lines in georeferenced 3D-models.

Mobile Mapping: Hardbrücke in Zurich, Switzerland

Zurich's Hard bridge is monitored periodically using mobile mapping to detect potential deformations at an early stage. The measurements were commissioned by the Civil Engineering Department of the City of Zurich. Due to temperature-related bridge deformations, this task represents a particular challenge and requires precise measurements to be performed within the shortest possible time. Mobile mapping with 3D laser scanning allows precise and highly detailed measuring of the entire bridge surface in three dimensions and absolute coordinates.

Mobile Mapping: 360 degree Panoramic Imaging System

Our 360 degree Panoramic Imaging Service can be easily combined with 3D-laserscanning based mobile mapping. We map streets, railway infrastructure, large objects as well as landscape. Depending on customers requirements we deliver geo-referenced 360 degree panoramic images, single images or videos.

Mobile Mapping: Roads and Motorways

terra vermessungen ag offers a state-wide unique mobile mapping solution. We use dedicated sensors that meet customer and project requirements, such as 3D lasers or cameras. Our experienced team will assist you with any type of mapping project (for example, hydrographic, road and rail mapping or the mapping of inaccessible or hard-to-reach objects like narrow canals.

Mobile Mapping : Fast Data Acquisition and 3D Analysis

Your advantage:

– Fast data acquisition saves time and money

– Fewer and shorter road closures
