terra©monitors the Saale-Elster Viaduct – the Longest Railway Bridge in Germany

With a length of 5.34 miles (8.6 km) the Saale-Elster viaduct on the new Leipzig-Erfurt rail link will be the longest railway bridge in Germany. The construction is currently being tested and will be put into service by mid/end 2016.

terra® is monitoring the viaduct's behaviour over a period of 2.5 years using an automated bridge monitoring system.

The measurements will provide construction engineers with valuable data on the interaction between the viaduct structure and the slab track superstructure for this particular project and future projects.

Building Surveys

When building plans are missing or outdated, laser scanning provides a perfect solution for fast, detailed and accurate building inventory surveys.

Reliable building surveys play a vital role in the planning of any reconstruction or renovation project.

Often, plans for historic or landmarked buildings are not available. If plans or drawings are available they often no longer reflect the actual conditions and new building surveys may be required.
